Delivering freshness faster: How our new food distribution center is helping us elevate the guest experience    Food & Beverage is a big reason busy families choose Target. We're offering more newness and wellness in the assortment than ever before and dedicating more space to fresh and frozen products, pantry staples and trending snacks and beverages. That's why we've opened our ninth and largest Food Distribution Center (FDC) in Thornton, Colorado — adding more capacity to support our growth and demonstrate our merchandising authority. “This facility is a direct product of our guest-first mindset. Our guests need fresh food for their families with quality they can rely on... They want to know that when they go to Target, they can get everything on their list and more.” — Amy Probst, senior vice president of GSCL transportation trade and food and beverage      Thornton is also Target's first FDC with a consolidation facility where we can combine separate shipments from different vendors into trucks that then go fully loaded to a designated destination. This cuts transport volume and costs across our network and streamlines arrivals to our other facilities.     Erik H., Thornton FDC’s site leader, gives us an inside look at how Thornton is changing the game for Target’s food and beverage business and generating over 300 jobs for the local Colorado community. Check it out in the below video!    #TeamTarget #SupplyChainInnovation #FoodandBeverageStrategy
