Connection that lasts beyond an internship.️ It's Target Intern Week, and we're celebrating the incredible interns who are shaping what's next across our business. Throughout the week, you'll meet five interns whose stories showcase what it means to learn, grow and make an impact at Target. We're kicking things off with Kayla H.-T., an Assets Protection Executive intern in Brooklyn, NY. When asked which Target value stood out most during Kayla's internship, Kayla shared: "One Target value that stood out to me is connection. Throughout my internship, my leaders invested in my growth. I'll always be grateful for the leadership team who believed in me before I fully believed in myself, and I'll carry those lessons with me wherever my career takes me". From a variety of activities that provided leadership responsibility to opportunities for observation-based learning, Kayla has explored the real experience of an Assets Protection Executive. One opportunity stood out to Kayla in particular: "[I had] the opportunity to volunteer with the kids at an afterschool program and see how involved Target is in the local community. It was inspiring to be a part of something that went beyond the store and left a positive impact on others." For Kayla, the connections built along the way were just as meaningful. Kayla shared, "One of the best parts of the program was building meaningful relationships with my mentor, leadership team and fellow interns while growing both personally and professionally." Stories like Kayla's remind us that an internship at Target provides an opportunity to build confidence, create meaningful connections and discover what's possible with a team that's invested in your growth. Stay tuned as we continue celebrating more intern stories throughout the week. Happy Monday, and Happy Target Intern Week! #TeamTarget #InternWeek #EarlyCareers
