From Intern to Impact: How Relationships Shape Early Talent at Target Meet Andrea H. and Lauren B., two Sr Recruiters at Target who support early career offerings. Lauren joined Target over a decade ago as a campus hire from the University of Wisconsin. Lauren’s passion is to help develop others and see early talent find what is possible for their careers. “It feels so full circle, since I started as a campus hire myself. I’ve supported different parts of the business, and now I get the opportunity to bring great talent to Target.” -Lauren B, Senior Recruiter. Andrea’s time with Target spans more than 22 years. She started as an intern, moved into HR leadership in stores and later found her place in Talent Acquisition recruiting. Her experience in the field gives her a sharp lens for talent assessment. “I focus on identifying talent based on shared needs, not just geography. I work with the candidates and find what is best for them now and in their future” -Andrea H, Senior Recruiter. Both Lauren and Andrea support hiring for internship programs and full-time roles across the US. Some of their most critical partners include universities where they engage in close collaboration with faculty and program leaders. Together, they help bring students closer to the business through career fairs, alumni panels, store/ distribution center tours, and direct engagement with team members. This consistency helps drive strong year-over-year talent outcomes. Andrea and Lauren help evolve Target’s partnerships into a sustained pipeline of talent. As Andrea puts it, “Students see the success and start to believe, ‘that could be me’. That's why we do what we do.” This is how talent grows. Through trust, exposure, and relationships that last. #TeamTarget #EarlyCareers #TalentDevelopment #FutureOfWork
