This week our Taprogge Service field team was in the region to exchange with local experts on energy and water efficiency in industrial plants. ย  The highest efficiency losses are not visible to the naked eye. A thin layer of deposits and films inside the condenser tubes is sufficient to impair the condenserโ€™s heat removal: the vacuum decreases and the system burns more fuel for the same output. Not a defect that makes the alarm go off, but rather a creeping loss which you wonโ€™t notice during day-to-day operations. ย  This is exactly the reason why it makes sense to have a closer look at the โ€œcold endโ€ of the plant: If you manage to get the various types of fouling under control, you will save energy, water, and costs โ€“ without capital expenditure for new systems, simply by cleaner heat transfer processes. ย  And this is exactly where we come in: Instead of stopping operations for time-consuming and manpower-intensive cleaning cycles, our systems keep the condenser tubes clean while operations continue โ€“ by means of constantly circulating cleaning balls in combination with filter technology that screens coarse debris before it can enter the condenser.
