Product Experience Designer | Balancing Creativity and Functionality | Designing Clarity in Complex Ecosystems for B2B,B2C Products

Great products don’t start with screens — they start with ideas that create impact. ✨ "Ideation" is where vague problems turn into clear questions, and scattered thoughts begin to form a story. Our team explored this through a challenge from an OTT platform — where endless choices on the home screen often overwhelm casual viewers. A well-defined How Might We problem statement, anchored to impact, helped shift the conversation from features to experience. We solved the Design problem using rapid sketching and then using the NOW / WOW / HOW framework helped us move from chaos to clarity. While I was researching more on ideation techniques, I came across these easy to read articles: 1. Crazy 8s / 6 Ups — rapid sketching to push beyond first, obvious ideas https://lnkd.in/gqZhgVDC https://lnkd.in/gqaTsZ-7 2. Mind Mapping — visually connecting thoughts to uncover hidden patterns https://lnkd.in/gm8diNby 3. Reverse Brainstorming — starting with how to make the experience worse to reveal better solutions https://lnkd.in/gu8f6AcV 4. SCAMPER — rethinking ideas by substituting, combining, adapting, modifying, or eliminating elements https://lnkd.in/gr3iM3tB 5. Six Thinking Hats — viewing the same idea from multiple perspectives to balance creativity and logic https://lnkd.in/gFr9dgke 6. NOW / WOW / HOW — what works now, what truly delights, and what’s worth exploring next. This exploration came alive when I facilitated a peer learning session with my Hyderabad and Mumbai UI design teammates last week at Lollypop Design Studio ➡️ While AI can accelerate inspiration, ideation still thrives on human storytelling, collaboration, and shared context — listening, debating, and building ideas together. I highly encourage teams to invest in collaborative ideation sessions. Solving problems together and exploring multiple ideas — isn’t that one of the most exciting parts of being a designer? 😄 #design #Ideation #Brainstorming #Process #Team #Collaboration #DesignProblems #UserProblems
