“What deployment strategy does your company use?” If your answer is - “I’m not sure. The DevOps team handles that.” you may have just missed an opportunity to demonstrate your understanding of the software delivery lifecycle. A strong QA professional knows: ✅ Which CI/CD tool is used (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, etc.) ✅ When automation tests run in the pipeline ✅ The deployment strategy (Rolling, Blue-Green, Canary, Recreate) ✅ How health checks validate a deployment ✅ What happens if a deployment fails ✅ How rollback works ✅ Which monitoring tools are used after production Knowing the deployment strategy also helps QA: • Design better release validation plans • Identify production risks • Collaborate effectively with DevOps and developers • Troubleshoot release failures faster #QualityAssurance #QALead #SoftwareTesting #AutomationTesting #DevOps #CICD #Jenkins #GitHubActions #AzureDevOps #InterviewPreparation #SDET #TechCareers
