RISC-V based processor chip development in Türkiye is gaining huge traction thanks to efforts of Yongatek Microelectronics. Its common to see RISC-V based core designs in Turkish universities and companies running on FPGAs or simulations nowadays, but its unprecedented for a civil company in the country to tapeout real, competitive chips. Yongatek is exactly doing that, with "Çelik" MCU that will see use in Beko Global products and expected to be produced in 30 million units a year! Çelik means steel in Turkish, and its a fitting name for that great MCU chip. They also tapeout an FPGA chip named "Saka", aimed at defence industry and expected to be produced and tested within this year I urge everyone to consider taking a look at Yongatek. Its a rapidly developing RISC-V focused chip company in a rapidly developing nation. Do not sleep over it! Learn more about the company here: https://www.yongatek.com/ #RISCVEverywhere
