Honoring a Legacy: Celebrating Dr. Manfred Wagner! We’re proud to celebrate Manfred, who has officially transitioned into a part-time advisory role after 36 years of dedicated service at the Max-Planck-Institut für Polymerforschung. As the long-time leader of our NMR department, Manfred shaped our research with expertise, precision, and passion. Beyond the lab, he brought the team together through various social activities, most often during his beloved football sessions every Thursday, no matter the weather. To celebrate this milestone with him and prepare him for his upcoming tasks, we prepared a few gifts for him, reflecting his professional and personal impact. A set of football jerseys, highlighting his team spirit. A football, to ensure our weekly matches will continue in the future. And, of course, a 3D-printed mini-NMR model (crafted by Volker Mailaender), underscoring his invaluable contribution to the scientific development of the NMR-core facility. Though he’s stepping back from full-time duties, Manfred remains an invaluable advisor. We’re grateful for his legacy and thrilled he’ll still be around to share his wisdom. Thank you, Manfred, for 36 years of excellence, laughter, and unforgettable moments. #NMR #Research #TeamAppreciation #CareerLegacy #RetirementWithPurpose #InstituteLife #ThankYouManfred #ScienceAndSport Julian Link
