30 years. 10 cities. 5 countries. 4 continents. My life has been a series of packing and unpacking boxes for fresh beginnings. Every move has led to an unending series of chapters in my life. I am now getting ready to face another move - Pune to Hyderabad. You would think that as an empty nester, it would be easy. No more school admissions or playground hunts. But the truth is, moving is never just about logistics - it’s emotional. It’s about leaving familiar streets, favourite local spots, and friendships built over years. It’s the challenge of finding a new rhythm, from a trusted dentist to a new local language. Every move is entrepreneurial. It teaches you that settling in isn’t about geography; it’s about the skill of creating familiarity in unfamiliar spaces. It’s a quiet adventure - an opportunity to declutter, upgrade your perspective, and rediscover yourself. I see this same journey in business. Every time we change a critical vendor, migrate a large IT system, or enter a new market, we face that same ‘moving pain’. We test our resilience, re-establish norms, and build new memories. Therefore, change should not be about the pains of leaving, rather it should be based on the thrill of growth. This move also marks a strategic milestone in my GCC journey. Moving from Pune (ranked #3) to Hyderabad (ranked #2) - and having lived in Bangalore - I feel fortunate to have worked across the top three hubs that power nearly 60% of India’s GCC landscape.
