FLYING INTO THE FUTURE: Last Friday, TPA welcomed leaders from across the Tampa Bay region for the Joint Board of County Commissioners Roundtable. The quarterly meeting brings together commissioners from Hillsborough, Pinellas, and Pasco counties to discuss long-term strategies and regional collaboration. ✅ TPA CEO Michael Stephens shared his vision for a future connected by Advanced Air Mobility, often described as “flying taxis.” He outlined how this emerging mode of transportation could transform regional connectivity in the not-too-distant future. The technology behind eVTOLs (Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing vehicles) is currently being tested around the world, and airports across Florida are working with the Florida Department of Transportation to explore how these battery-powered aircraft could integrate safely into the existing air traffic system. As innovation continues to take flight, we're working to be at the forefront of shaping what the next era of air travel could look like for the Tampa Bay region. ✈️
