This year’s VWD CONNECT FOUNDATION INC National Severe Von Willebrand Disease (#VWD) Patient Conference, marked a special time for celebration as we gathered with the community to honor the organization’s 10th annual meeting and the tremendous progress made in the 100 years since the first mention of VWD in medical literature. We are grateful to take part as the community comes together to raise awareness, share perspectives and support patients and families. While we continue to foster education on VWD, it’s equally important to encourage self-advocacy. That’s why we handed out advocacy journals – a practical tool to help patients track every bleed and have more informed conversations with their physicians. Every bleed matters, and together, we can continue to educate on bleeding disorders like VWD because patients deserve answers and a path forward to a brighter future.
