At our manufacturing site in Oranienburg, Germany, we recently inaugurated a new photovoltaic system covering the 6,000 m² employee parking lot, with the potential to generate approximately 1,500 MWh of electricity per year. Over the last two years, we have already reduced energy consumption by more than 16 GWh per year and reduced CO₂ emissions by approximately 25 percent at the site. With the new system, we have created the potential for an additional 650 tons of CO₂ reduction annually. The site’s energy initiatives further support Takeda’s commitment to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in its operations by FY2035.
