☔ India Monsoon Watch — A Week Behind, and the Heat Is Showing It India's southwest monsoon made its Kerala onset on June 4th — but the northward advance has been slow. The system is now running about one week behind the climatological schedule, and the market implications are visible. Rainfall since June is running approximately 40% below normal according to IMD. Above-40°C temperatures are still forecast in parts of northern India through at least the 25th — well into what should be monsoon season. The driver? Weak low-level westerlies. And the key date to watch is the 28th, when westerly recovery is expected to push the monsoon northward and shift most of India toward wetter and cooler conditions. How long does the elevated cooling demand last — and what changes after the 28th? Atmospheric G2 clients can access the full analysis here 👉 https://lnkd.in/g_Fj4yds Not a client yet?
