Juggling tight timelines can be a positive challenge. But frustration caused by processes that are not smooth is never positive. โ And no, this does not need a positive mindset, more time, or more training. Together with ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, we spent a year studying why 100 managers struggle to find enough time to lead. And guess what? The main issue is not a lack of time - it is that we waste an incredible amount of it. Why does this matter more than ever? Everything that is frustrating, unclear, duplicated, or unnecessarily complicated today will become even more visible tomorrow. And if we continue to overload our teams with friction, even our best innovations may never deliver the results we hope for. At IKEA, we are on a journey to become simpler. I recently had the opportunity to discuss our work on this with Alexandra Gastpar in the podcast Voices of HR. โWhat do you think? Is AI going to amplify your strengths - or your friction?
