They say the #pandemic itself won't kill us, but hunger will. These words reflect the thoughts of hundreds of men and women in remote areas of #NAMERE ZONE. The shutdowns due to #COVID-19 have wreaked havoc on the livelihoods of the neediest families. 33-year-old Julie is a single mother. She worked as a chef's assistant, but because of #COVID-19, she was fired indefinitely out of work, Julie was desperate for food for her five children. Often the family survived on nothing but boiled potatoes. For such lively children as Julie's, this was nowhere near enough #food. How should they continue to live their daily life? How were they supposed to summon the energy to play football or even finish their homework for the day? Thank #God it didn't get that far because YOU refused to let hunger win.
