Some time has passed, but the conversation and insights remain a great memory: On November 10, our co-owner Dániel Homolya represented T3 TokajDrei (Winery | Tállya-Tokaj) at a roundtable discussion on the Hungarian wine sector, organized by the Navratil Ákos College for Advanced Studies of Eötvös Loránd University The discussion brought together diverse perspectives from across the value chain, with the participation of 🍷Keresztesi Zoltán , Business Development Director at Winehub , and 🍷 Peter Varga, founder and owner of Varga Pincészet . A key takeaway from the conversation was the importance of engaging the younger generation in a conscious, informed way when it comes to the future of the wine industry — not only as consumers, but also as future professionals, decision-makers, and innovators. In line with this mindset, the event was alcohol-free. Reflecting this approach, T3 Tokaj Drei contributed with T3 Most, our non-alcoholic grape must, showing that wine culture can also be meaningfully represented without alcohol, while still staying true to origin, quality, and authenticity. During the roundtable, we addressed some of the most pressing structural challenges facing Hungarian winemaking today: 🔹 Profitability challenges of the Hungarian wine sector 🔹 Labour availability and seasonal workforce constraints 🔹 Production efficiency, technology adoption, and vineyard structure 🔹 Sales effectiveness, pricing strategies, and access to domestic and export markets 🔹 Changing consumption trends, especially among younger generations 🔹 Strengthening the international perception of Hungarian wine 🔹 Risks posed by phytoplasma infections and the importance of coordinated vineyard protection We believe that responsible thinking, education, and open dialogue are essential foundations for a resilient and sustainable future for Hungarian wine. Thank you to the organizers and fellow panelists for the thoughtful exchange. #T3TokajDrei #HungarianWine #Tokaj #NextGeneration #ResponsibleConsumption #AlcoholFree #GrapeMust #WineIndustry #ELTE #FutureOfWine
