Today we announced that we have reached an agreement to sell our Acrylate Monomers business to Mutares SE & Co. KGaA. Acrylate Monomers is a leading supplier of acrylic acid and related monomers to European industrial customers, as well as to other operations in the Synthomer group. Today’s announcement marks another important step in delivering our strategy to simplify our business and sharpen our focus on higher-margin, higher-growth speciality chemicals markets, where we have strong and sustainable leadership positions. It is part of a deliberate shift to concentrate our resources on the areas where we can have the greatest impact and deliver the most value for our customers, while building a more competitive business for the future.
