Satellite SMS is only as powerful as the networks it can reach. Skylo set out to deliver direct-to-device messaging over satellite, but interoperability with legacy MNO infrastructure stood in the way. Syniverse Evolved Mobility for Messaging bridged the gap, translating 4G Diameter signaling into GSM MAP in real time so Skylo could connect with partners like Verizon without either side touching their existing architecture.
