Most #intralogistics #automation projects are solved locally. A site picks an AGV or AMR vendor, deploys a fleet, and moves on. The problem appears when the next site does the same thing differently, and the one after that differently again. ZF Group took a different approach. Rather than treating each deployment as a standalone project, ZF adopted the SYNAOS Intralogistics Platform as a shared software foundation across its operations, starting with initial sites in Germany and with the ambition to extend globally. Each site runs its own contained deployment, but on the same platform, with the same standards and the same interface layer across vendors via #VDA5050. What works in one location becomes transferable to the next. That is the architecture decision that makes automation scalable across a global manufacturer.
