We are thrilled to share that our very own Symriser, Penelope Strickland and Team Australia won Gold in the Womens’ 24km event at the World Outrigger Championships in Rio de Janeiro in August! Penelope had already made her mark earlier in the solo marathon races, claiming 5th place in the highly competitive Open division — an impressive individual achievement on the world stage. For Penelope, this is a reflection of grit, resilience, and national pride. "This is my first time winning a world championship as an Australian and I was exceptionally proud to be a member on my first Australian team. Sport brings a lot of balance to my life and members of Symrise Australia are some of my biggest cheerleaders, so were some of the very first people I called after winning", said an elated Penelope.   Congratulations Penelope!
