In Greece, surely a sunny day means that the grid is fully powered by solar energy? Well, actually... ☀️ Renewable curtailment reached 7% in 2025, more than double the 2024 rate, and the current trajectory shows it could be even worse this year. The reason behind it is simple: the grid still can't make full use of the solar capacity already online. This creates a strange paradox where gas somehow still wins out, even when the sun is shining.
