How do you move beyond the 50% yield limit typically associated with classical resolution processes for chiral compounds? In this new case study, we share how our team developed a crystallization-induced diastereomeric transformation (CIDT) process for AskAt’s AAT-076, combining diastereomeric salt formation with in situ photochemical racemization to achieve: 🧪 99.0% ee 📈 85% yield ✔️ >99.7% chemical purity 🚫 No recrystallization required The project demonstrates how tailored resolution screening, racemization compatibility and process optimisation can help improve efficiency, reduce waste and support scalable chiral API development.
