Excited to share our second-semester OOP project! πŸš€ Together with Muhammad Hadi Azeem, we developed MotoMetrics, a JavaFX-based Vehicle Wear & Tear Simulation System that acts as an intelligent digital caretaker for your vehicle fleet. MotoMetrics bridges the gap between theoretical software design and practical engineering by addressing the risks of reactive vehicle care. Designed with a modern interface, the application models how driving habits, cargo load, and varying terrains actively degrade core mechanical components over time, helping drivers visualize asset health before a breakdown occurs. πŸš€ Key Features: πŸ’‘ Smart Trip Advice: Evaluates real-time health indicators to generate tiered safety readiness recommendations (Excellent to Dangerous) alongside proactive driver behavior warnings before a journey begins. πŸ› οΈ Realistic Wear Simulation Engine: Automatically computes nuanced component-level degradation across engines, oil, tyres, suspension, and brakes by balancing base distances against active multipliers for terrain types and aggressive habits. πŸ“Š Interactive Diagnostics Dashboard: Features a sleek, centralized panel mapping multi-vehicle fleets with dynamic progress bars and automated Diagnosable report generation βš™οΈ Technical Architecture: Built entirely using JavaFX and structural OOP pillars (Inheritance, Polymorphism, Encapsulation, Abstraction, and Interface Implementation) backed by robust, file-based data persistence across user sessions. MotoMetrics completely reshaped my engineering mindset. It allowed me to move past writing isolated code and truly start architecting cohesive, scalable systems. It bridged the gap between classroom theory and real-world software engineering. I am excited to carry these foundational software engineering principles and system design insights into my next technical challenges! Shoutout to Muhammad Hadi Azeem for being a great cooperative partner. #JavaFX #ObjectOrientedProgramming #SoftwareEngineering #UIUX #Java #SimulationSystem #CleanCode
