Have you ever had a teacher who changed the way you saw yourself? The kind who believed in you even before you did? I’ve been on both sides of that story — the student who was guided, and the teacher who now gets to do the guiding. I started teaching back in 2014. It began as a small step — helping a few students after school. But soon I realized it wasn’t just about lessons or grades. It was about watching someone discover their own potential. Today, as I teach German at NUST, that feeling remains the same. Every time a student finally understands a tricky grammar concept or confidently speaks their first full sentence in German, I’m reminded why teachers matter so deeply. Because teaching isn’t just transferring knowledge. It’s about igniting curiosity. It’s about believing in people until they start believing in themselves. If you think about it, every one of us carries a part of a teacher within us — a word of encouragement, a gentle push, a lesson that stuck. And those lessons often shape who we become, long after the classroom fades. So today, on Teacher’s Day, I want to celebrate all the teachers — those who taught in classrooms, and those who taught through kindness. Who was that one teacher who made a difference in your life? Tag them or share how they inspired you. Let’s fill this space with gratitude today. 🌱 P.S. Can you guess who the teacher is? 😁 Picture Credits: Arshan Tawhidi #happyteachersday #inspire #giveforward
