🔹 𝗔 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝘄𝗶𝘁𝘇𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱: 𝗜𝗻𝗮𝘂𝗴𝘂𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗟𝗦 𝟮.𝟬 On 21 August 2025, the modernized Swiss Light Source (SLS 2.0) was officially inaugurated at the PSI Paul Scherrer Institut in the presence of Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, PSI Director Christian Rüegg, member of the cantonal government Martina Bircher and SLS 2.0 Project Leader Hans Braun, a milestone for Switzerland’s leadership in science, deeptech, and innovation. 💡 With its powerful, high-intensity light, the new SLS enables research at the atomic level, opening up new opportunities in:  • Health and life sciences  • Climate and energy research  • Advanced materials and future technologies This unique facility not only strengthens Switzerland’s global competitiveness in research, but also accelerates the transfer of knowledge into industry, with direct impact for many companies based at Switzerland Innovation Park Innovaare, and across our entire Switzerland Innovation network. 👏 Congratulations to PSI for this achievement.
