In case you missed it, our CEO Warwick Brady recently spoke on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme with Will Baine about Heathrow expansion and the future of UK airport capacity.   Heathrow is already the most expensive hub in the world by a significant margin. As Warwick puts it, “bigger doesn’t mean better”, and under the current regulatory framework, higher costs are effectively incentivised through higher returns.   With operations at more than 300 airports, including 20 of the world’s major international hubs, we see first-hand how this undermines UK competitiveness.   We support Heathrow expansion, but not at any cost.
