This week, Swiss TPH welcomed around 20 members of the Swiss parliamentary Finance Committees as well as Tanja Soland, Government Councillor of the Kanton Basel-Stadt. The visit provided an opportunity to gain first-hand insights into how research, education and partnerships improve health worldwide while strengthening Switzerland's position as a leader in science and innovation.   The delegation saw first-hand how Swiss TPH experts develop new medicines in collaboration with the private sector, study drug-resistant tuberculosis and other pathogens in high-security laboratories, and generate evidence that informs policy decisions.   The visit formed part of the evening programme of a policy seminar held in Basel, organized by Eva Herzog, President of the Finance Committee of the Council of States, and President of the Swiss TPH Board of Governors.
