Milestone in the fight against sleeping sickness Acoziborole, a one-day, single-dose oral treatment, has received a positive opinion from the European Medicines Agency for the treatment of T.b. gambiense, the most common form of sleeping sickness. This milestone is the culmination of over two decades of collaborative research by the Drugs for Neglected Diseases initiative (DNDi), Sanofi and partners, to which Swiss TPH was proud to contribute through early-stage screening, preclinical evaluations and monitoring of the pivotal Phase III study in the DRC.
