When the classroom meets the real world. Our Grade 11 DP Science students welcomed Ms. Pooja Dhingra, Regional Sustainability Manager at IKEA, alongside colleagues from IKEA and Al Futtaim for an inspiring guest session on sustainable energy and climate action. The visit was part of our Collaborative Sciences Project (CSP), an interdisciplinary initiative where students apply science to create meaningful work addressing real sustainability challenges. From physics to chemistry, environmental systems to design technology, our students saw firsthand how science lives beyond the textbook and inside the decisions of a global company. The Q&A that followed sparked some of the most thoughtful conversations of the year on climate action, the circular economy, and what it means to build a career around sustainability. This is learning at SISD. Curious minds. Real connections. Global impact.
