🇸🇪 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐝𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦 𝐓𝐚𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐢❗ As we approach 𝟑𝟎 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥, we are preparing to celebrate the Swedish tradition of 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐬𝐦𝐚̈𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐚𝐟𝐭𝐨𝐧 (𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐢𝐬 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭). This year’s celebration will consist of two parts, with the main focus on our evening aferwork, complemented by a YP pre-event earlier in the day. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐠❓Valborg is one of Sweden’s most well-known spring traditions. Historically, it was associated with lighting bonfires to mark the changing seasons and ward off evil spirits. Today, it is celebrated as a way to welcome spring and bring communities together. Across Sweden, people gather to sing, celebrate, and mark the transition from the long winter months to brighter days ahead. While SwedCham will not host a bonfire, we look forward to celebrating in a way that reflects the spirit of the tradition. 𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭: 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐠. Join us for an evening of networking and celebration together at DAMN bar at Maji Square.
