Excited to share my latest project — AquaMind! Data centers consume millions of liters of freshwater every single day just to stay cool. With AI and cloud computing growing rapidly, this problem is only getting worse — Google's data centers alone used over 20 billion liters of water in 2022. So my team and I built AquaMind — an AI-powered cooling intelligence system that solves exactly this. How it works: Instead of using fixed cooling methods like most data centers do today, AquaMind continuously monitors server temperature, workload, and weather conditions — then uses Machine Learning to decide the optimal cooling method in real time: 💨 Air Cooling → for low load 🔀 Hybrid Cooling → for moderate load ♻️ Recycled Water → for high heat 🌊 Liquid Immersion → for critical/extreme load 📊 The results: ✅ 32% reduction in freshwater consumption ✅ 99% AI decision accuracy (Random Forest) ✅ R² = 0.92 on water usage prediction (Gradient Boosting) ✅ 68% of cooling powered by recycled water ✅ 18% improvement in overall cooling efficiency 🛠 Built using: Python · Scikit-learn · Flask · Pandas · NumPy · HTML/CSS/JavaScript · Chart.js This project aligns with UN SDG 6 (Clean Water), SDG 9 (Industry Innovation), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption), and SDG 13 (Climate Action) — and was built for our college-level innovation competition. Huge thanks to my amazing team for bringing this idea to life: 👥 Renu Gunavare | Sana Patade | Raj Konde | Sumeet Mapari Would love to hear your thoughts — and open to feedback from anyone working in AI, sustainability, or data infrastructure! 🙌 #ArtificialIntelligence #MachineLearning #Sustainability #ClimateAction #DataCenters #GreenTech #Python #StudentProject #Innovation #SDG
