The “Swarovski Musik Wattens” was established in the year 1900 and was inspired by the “Schrammelmusik” founded by Daniel Swarovski and Franz Weis. They both brought brought their traditional craft from Bohemia and their love for music. Both were passionate musicians and played the violin with great enthusiasm. With the increase of the company’s prosperity in the 20th century, the number of employees also increased and among them were some talented musicians. The first concert of the 22-strong band took place in the garden of the innkeeper called “Ladeler” in Wattens. The group was known as "Factory Music." In later adaptations they were known as "Rettenberger Music Band" and then "Rettenberger Musik Swarovski Wattens" before the name "Swarovski Musik Wattens" was adopted in 1989. #swarovski125years #since1895 #swarovskicorporatearchive
