VP, AWS Agentic AI

Thrilled to see AWS making a major contribution to the open source AI community with the launch of the Strands Agents, an open source AI agents SDK! https://lnkd.in/gJvVasGm The core of Strands is the simple agentic loop that connects the model and tools together, like the two strands of DNA. This model-driven approach to agent building eliminates the need for complex agent orchestration by embracing the capabilities of state-of-the-art models to plan, chain thoughts, call tools, and reflect. Strands powers production AI agents within some of our key AWS services (like Amazon Q CLI) and now we’re excited to bring it to the open source community. What I think developers are really going to like about this: 🟠 Developers can get started with building agents with just a few lines of code 🟠 Scales from simple to complex agent use cases (no more POCs that are dead ends) 🟠 Can support any model and deployment anywhere Includes 20+ built-in tools and supports thousands of Model Context Provider (MCP) servers with support for Agent2Agent coming soon 🟠 Path to production with instrumentation and telemetry We're excited that Accenture, Anthropic, Langfuse (YC W23), Mem0.ai, Meta, PwC, Ragas.io, and Tavily are joining us with support and contributions, and we look forward to how the community will shape the SDK going forward. The Agentic AI space is rapidly evolving, and at AWS, we know that the key to accelerating innovation is giving developers the tools they need to experiment the way they want. Providing open source tools and interoperability with open source protocols is an important part of our strategy to enable an agentic future. Can’t wait to see what you’ll build with Strands. Join us on GitHub to get started with Strands Agents! #OpenSource #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #AWS #SoftwareDevelopment #Innovation
