On this day, October 29, 1321, 700 years ago, one of the most important Serbian rulers, the king of the Serbian and maritime lands, Stefan Uroš II Milutin, died. After his death, he was proclaimed a saint, and the Serbian Orthodox Church celebrates him on November 12 (October 30 according to the Julian calendar).
