🎶 Back to the Music: Art as a Bridge between Times and Voices In this unit of the Primary Years Programme (PYP), music became a tool for understanding time, culture, and identity. Each cycle featured a different approach: 🟡 1st and 2nd: Traditional Music and Folklore 🔵 3rd and 4th: Zarzuela and Rock as Performing and Historical Expressions 🔴 5th: Urban Music, Copyright, and Critical Thinking Everything was documented in the collaborative Back to the Music mural, which grew week by week as a collective archive, a sound map, and a visible space for reflection. This cycle-based approach is inspired by the IB Continuum and demonstrates the potential of integrated arts planning, where sound, visual, and physical expressions interact under a single pedagogical vision. 🌱 Thanks to ALEX MOLÉS PUIG , PYP Coordinator this academic year, for his constant support in the development of these proposals. 👋 And welcome to Dr. Agustina Lacarte , whose addition to our team represents a valuable opportunity to continue consolidating the IB model at Agora Lledó International School . For years, the IB's determined drive in Globeducate schools— led by Luis Madrid Giménez —has fostered a fertile framework for proposals where art ceases to be an ornament and becomes a vehicle for understanding, reflection, and connection. 🧩 Art is not fragmented... it connects. Cada ciclo vivió un enfoque distinto: 🟡 1º y 2º: música tradicional y folklore 🔵 3º y 4º: zarzuela y rock como expresiones escénicas e históricas 🔴 5º: música urbana, derechos de autor y pensamiento crítico Todo quedó documentado en el mural colaborativo Back to the Music, que fue creciendo semana a semana como un archivo colectivo, un mapa sonoro y un espacio de pensamiento visible. Este enfoque por ciclos se inspira en el Continuo del IB, y muestra el potencial de una planificación integrada de las Artes, donde lo sonoro, lo visual y lo corporal dialogan bajo una misma visión pedagógica. 🌱 Gracias a Alex Molés, Coordinador PYP durante este curso, por su acompañamiento constante en el desarrollo de estas propuestas. 👋 Y bienvenida Agustina Lacarte, cuya incorporación a nuestro equipo supone una oportunidad valiosa para seguir consolidando el modelo IB en Ágora Lledó. Desde hace años, el impulso decidido del IB en los colegios Globeducate —liderado por Luis Madrid— ha favorecido un marco fértil para propuestas donde el arte deja de ser adorno para convertirse en vehículo de comprensión, reflexión y conexión. 🧩 El arte no se fragmenta... se conecta.
