Do not miss the standard neurosurgical care even in COVID-19 times! A 63 year old patient suffered from refractory bilateral (left >>> right) C6 radiculopathy. There was no neurological deficit upon clinical examination. When a conservative treatment fails, a good solid bony fusion and radical decompression can do the job! Don't forget to go / decompress "lateral"! Due to the large anterior osteophyte I opted for a stand-alone cage instead of drilling the osteophyte away. However in the majority of cases I finish off with an anterior plate. 1 year and 3 months postop CT-image revealed a full bony fusion. The patient is symptom free. #Medtronic #Cornerstone #neuroscience #neurosurgery #spinesurgery #cervicalfusion Bert Vanthienen Maarten WisselsMark PlazierGert RoosenWim Duyvendak Jessa ZiekenhuisSint-Trudo ZiekenhuisSint-Franciscusziekenhuis
