🌸 This Tuesday, we hosted our first edition of SustainaLab Books, featuring Gadi Rothenberg and his book “Innovation Management in Sustainable Chemistry”.  We started off with a lively presentation by Gadi, where he went over some of the concepts in his book.  💡 Some of the main takeaways we got were:  - Problems always give rise to opportunities, and when it comes to our problem of a non-circular economy, we can find sustainable opportunities. - For a successful business, sustainability is not enough, you always need economic benefit. - Judgmental questions are harder to solve than technical questions, but the solution is to translate judgemental questions into technical ones. - Science and business is all about the people; it is better to have a good team with mediocre technology than vice versa. - Failure is the mother of success, and doing difficult things includes failure. - Story and vision are essential for funding. It was a very interactive session, followed by a discussion towards the end. Important questions were raised on how to practically build a business around science.  🍃 All in all, the event was not only informative but also motivational and created a space to discuss questions regarding business and science.  📖 You can find more information about Gadi's book through the link in the comments.
