𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘂𝘀. We are proud to share that STELLA, the innovative concept banknote developed by Bundesdruckerei-Gruppe together with a group of leading industry partners, has received the IACA Excellence in Currency Award 2026 in the category "Best New House Note." SUSONITY is part of this project. On a fully black substrate, conventional inks simply vanish. That is the core challenge of printing on black, and it is where our expertise comes in. Together with printing atelier Lorenz Boegli, we applied our pigments using a patented RGB-based screen-printing process. Our effect pigments reflect light rather than absorbing it, producing vivid, dynamic color effects that are as striking as they are hard to replicate. STELLA is more than a beautiful object. It is a serious exploration of what banknotes can become in a world where cash is used differently. What makes it so remarkable: - Credit card size (85 x 54 mm), reducing substrate, ink, and energy in production - A polymer substrate made from renewable raw materials, including used cooking oil - Nearly 100 notes on a single print sheet, without any compromise on security - An edge-to-edge security architecture that makes full use of every millimeter We are grateful to Bundesdruckerei for their leadership on this project, and to all partners for the trust and collaboration that made STELLA possible.
