💡 At SUSE, our commitment to open source goes far beyond code - it’s about sharing, collaboration and lifting up the communities where we live and work. Through the global SUSE Volunteering Program, every employee receives one day of Paid-Time-Off each year to support a charity, school or community project close to their heart. Recently, our Nuremberg team put this into action, partnering with the city of Nuremberg and ISKA’s “Türen öffnen” (Opening Doors) initiative to return to Kindergarten Hansastraße. By clearing out the attic, weatherproofing the outdoor kitchen and donating €450 via SUSE Cares, the team showed what real collaboration looks like when we step away from our screens and show up for our community. Here’s what they achieved: 📦 The Big Attic Cleanout, reclaiming valuable space for staff and kids. 🎨 A Fresh Coat of Paint, weatherproofing the outdoor play kitchen built in 2024 for many more recess adventures. 💶 Financial Support, a €450 donation to fund daily supplies and learning materials. Nothing builds a genuine connection like working side-by-side toward a shared, tangible goal. A massive thank you to everyone who donated their time, energy and muscle power this year 🤝
