It's been exactly five years since I had some of the biggest Aha-moment in my life... In 2016 I've spent the entire month of August in San Francisco. 4 magical weeks that turned me into the marketer I am today. π What happened? π In 2016 GKN Powder Metallurgy started building its own 3D Printing platform for on-demand, engineered prototypes. To speed up the development process, GKN decided to send its team to RocketSpace. (That's THE famous incubator where Uber, Spotify, and Airbnb started out!!!) πΊ I had no time to wear flowers in my hair because I was on a mission: Together with a team of corporate GKN intrapreneurs I've started exploring all aspects of the e-commerce platform and how we'll bring it to market. π‘ I learned a few things in the process... Speaking with start-ups and seeing how they market themselves changed my perception of marketing. Brilliant marketers like Sophie Bousset (she/her) and Ashleigh Harris opened my eyes to inbound marketing and Seth Godin's ideas! And Brit Boroian and Adam Winski introduced me to Go-to-market tools and frameworks, like the Business Model Canvas, that paved the way for how I think and operate today. π Looking back on this incredibly intense time, I'm still grateful for the people I met and the experiences I had. It shaped my career and turned me into an Inbound Marketing lover and HubSpot addict - and of course, founder of the Marketing Canvas, my own canvas template for go-to-market strategies. π Hey Markus Josten, Marius Haller, Alex Zwiren, Josh Norman, Simon Hoeges, Uemit Aydin, Thomas Michaeler, Connie Coon - what have been your take-aways and from RocketSpace, that still play a role for you today? #b2bmarketing #startup #3dprinting #inboundmarketing #lifelonglearning #marketingstrategy
