Scaling robotic surgery starts with readiness. Robotic procedures are growing 10–25% per year, yet proficiency can still take roughly 20 to 50 cases, and OR time remains one of the most expensive constraints. The safest way to scale is to standardize readiness, set a clear baseline, track progress objectively, and build consistent practice outside the OR so performance stays consistent across surgeons and sites as the program grows.
