No mother should have to worry about access to safe surgical care when bringing a child into the world. The GSF team is currently in Nakuru County as part of a 3-year project on strengthening safe and respectful obstetric surgical care for mothers and newborns. We are accompanying our partners Jhpiego and AIC Kijabe in: ✅ Driving Leadership: Training over 40 surgical team members across 5 facilities to implement quality improvement plans. ✅ Enhancing Care: Providing on-site, collaborative mentorship to frontline maternal and newborn health teams. ✅ Building Alignment: Engaging with Nakuru County leadership to drive sustainable, complementary action. ✅ Scaling Impact: Preparing to expand into 5 additional facilities, extending our reach to approximately 26,000 births per year. Safe, respectful, and timely care is a universal right. Together with local leaders, we are working towards ensuring it becomes a reality for every family in Nakuru County.
