This week, we are presenting you with two more, specifically multispectral emission and absorbtion of rainbow particles! 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: With excitation of only one common cheap laser or LED source at 360nm, emission of almost all colors on the visible and NIR spectrum can be generated in monodisperse Surflay particles with diameters between 50 and 100 nm. This allows for very broad multiplexing by emission of particles just by using only one excitation wavelength. 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐛𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠: By changing the antenna molecules, particles of different absorption wavelengths, but same emission wavelength, can be produced allowing multiplexing by absorption of particles, using only one emission channel. Take a look at the graph below to see the contrast between the excitation and emission spectra. Notice how the emission spectra is completely flat before it reaches its emission peak.
