DP World highlights Türkiye's growing role as a strategic logistics hub connecting Europe and the Gulf. DP World has recently underscored Türkiye’s rising significance in global supply chains, stressing that the country is moving beyond its traditional function as a mere transit corridor. Having invested more than US$600 million in Türkiye, the company has established one of the nation’s most comprehensive logistics platforms. By integrating the Yarımca and Körfez terminals and providing direct rail links to the national railway system, Türkiye’s role as a multimodal hub connecting Europe, Asia, and the Gulf has been further reinforced. The company also points to increasing freight traffic along the Baku–Tbilisi–Kars corridor and the wider Silk Road network, which is supporting more resilient and efficient trade routes. This trend is part of a wider shift in global logistics. As companies reconfigure their supply chains to enhance resilience, open up alternative transport routes, and mitigate geopolitical exposure, Türkiye is evolving from a simple transit corridor into a key logistics center. It is increasingly functioning as a strategic hub where ports, rail, road freight, and warehousing are combined into integrated, end-to-end supply chain services.
