Transparency in travel pricing matters - and so does context In recent coverage about so called lure ads in travel, the ANVR highlighted an important reality of today’s digital travel market. Prices and availability for flights and accommodation can change quickly, sometimes within minutes. Online travel offers are often built dynamically from multiple suppliers. At Sunweb Group, we believe customers deserve clarity, accuracy, and trust throughout the booking journey. That is why we continuously refresh prices and availability and keep investing in our technology to minimise differences between what is shown and what is ultimately bookable. We also take any signals of concern seriously. We have asked the Dutch Consumers’ Association (Consumentenbond) for additional insight into their findings. This helps us make targeted improvements where needed. If there are concrete examples of offers that are no longer available for the advertised price or dates, we welcome those so we can investigate. In the research sample conducted by the Dutch Consumers’ Association, price increases at Sunweb Group were limited. There was one case with an increase of around 3 percent, while in 8 out of 25 cases the price was lower at the moment of booking. We support the industry’s ongoing efforts to improve transparency and consumer understanding and trust.
