For the past decade, we have been evolving our drinks while keeping what people love about them: taste, quality and choice. Since 2015, we reformulated more than 300 drinks and reduced added sugar across our portfolio by 33%. Today, 63% of the volume we sell contains less than 5g of sugar per 100ml. As Zafer Gezgin, Ph.D., SBFE Principal Scientist, puts it, this progress reflects years of collaboration with our Suntory Japan teams and the implementation of new technologies that help deliver meaningful sugar reduction while maintaining great taste. Guided by Gemba and Seikatsusha, we stay close to how people choose and enjoy our drinks in everyday life - helping us reformulate well-known brands such as Oasis*, Ribena, Schweppes* and Orangina, while also developing new lower-sugar options. And we are continuing.
