Sunrun CEO Mary Powell joined Cheryl Casone on Fox Business to discuss our announcement with Renew Home and Tesla to create America's largest distributed power plant — a 16.8 GW network of home batteries and smart devices that can immediately help meet the country's rapidly growing energy demand. "There really is not a lot to meet the moment right now. So what is wonderful about this partnership is that we can altogether meet this moment and bring these electrons on to the grid to help particularly with data centers. It helps massively with speed to interconnection because utility solutions are still three years away, five years away, 10 years away." Powell went on to emphasize that one of the solution's most compelling aspects is that it benefits customers at a time when electricity rates are climbing by delivering energy savings, compensation opportunities, and increased household resilience. "That's why I'm so passionate about this. I also see it as we're providing Americans with what they want, which is independence, control, financial stability, and on top of that, they get to then make revenue off of these technologies."
