What happens after a road accident isn’t always visible. For Mary, it meant navigating grief, supporting her injured son, and learning to take each day as it comes. “To say I was numb after the accident was an understatement… but somehow, you find a way to put one foot in front of the other.” In 2025, Mary lost her son Haydn in a crash and has been supporting her other son through recovery ever since. In the months that followed, it was the people around her who made a difference – including her Suncorp CTP Claims Advisor, Joey. “Joey has been amazing… he kept explaining things and checking in on me. The fog slowly started separating and things became clearer.” Experiences like Mary’s are a reminder that road trauma doesn’t end at the roadside – and that support in those moments matters.
