Sustainability and resilience are important to us and something we’ve invested in heavily over the last few years.   In FY25, more than 1,500 solar panels were added to Summerset village centre buildings, taking us to more than 3,000 panels across New Zealand and Australia. These panels generate a significant amount of the power required in our village centre buildings – particularly when the sun is shining during daylight hours.   We’ve also committed to get our remaining 28 villages off utility gas and transitioned to electric by 2028 as part of an accelerated shift away from gas. This is the right thing to do from a sustainability point of view but of course from an economic standpoint as the availability of gas reduces and prices increase.   We also have over 100 Electrical Vehicle charging points across our villages and EVs available at many of our villages for residents to use.   We identified resilience as a key focus as we want to be able to ensure that our village communities can operate as independently as possible in the event of external disruptions. The work continues but we’re proud of what we’ve achieved so far. For more information see our FY25 Sustainability Review and Climate-Related Disclosures: https://lnkd.in/d3m_wrkE
