Community compounds. One of the reasons I enjoy attending events like Split’s annual meeting is that they remind me of something I’ve seen over and over again in business: The best opportunities rarely come from a pitch deck, a spreadsheet, or a transaction. They come from people. Last week at Muirfield Village during the Memorial Tournament, I had the opportunity to hear Will Zell share Vessel’s story and the momentum behind AssetWatch’s Series C raise. The business accomplishments are impressive, but what stood out most to me was the culture of builders, operators, and entrepreneurs that has formed around the community. As someone building Bloom Wealth Partners, I continue to believe that trust is the most valuable asset anyone can own. Trust takes years to build, can open doors money can’t, and often creates opportunities that nobody could have predicted. I had a lot of fun reconnecting with Josh Wintermantel of Wintermantel Companies. We seem to find ourselves crossing paths with great people every time we meet. Maybe we’ll even make some socks together someday 🧦. No agenda. No hard selling. Just thoughtful conversations, shared experiences, and a desire to see others win. Warren Buffett often talks about how your reputation is your most valuable asset. Events like this are a reminder that communities built on trust, integrity, and long-term thinking tend to create the greatest value over time. Thank you to the Split and Vessel teams for bringing together such an outstanding group of people.
